About Me

Helen was born and raised in New York City and attended college in upstate NY, where she met her husband, Steve.  After college and graduate school, she lived in Poughkeepsie, NY for 13 years, before relocating to Minnesota in 1993 with her husband and 2 boys (currently  35 and 33). Both boys graduated from Eden Prairie HS.

Helen and her husband currently live on Lake Minnewashta in Chanhassen, and love taking advantage of the lake lifestyle during all the seasons.

 

Personal Interests

Most of Helen’s interests revolve around sports.

She is an avid tennis player, and has been her entire life.  She currently participates in USTA league tennis and volunteers on a few USTA Sectional Committees. She recently took up Pickleball and loves both the social and the competitive nature of that sport.

In the last 20 years she has competed in numerous triathlons, so her interests include running, biking and swimming. You can also find Helen volunteering at a number of races in the area, and she and her her husband host open water swims at their home for swimmers and triathletes.

She also loves to downhill ski, water ski, nordic ski , and even snowboards.

Helen also loves volleyball and scuba diving.

 

Helen’s Education

Helen received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, and a Masters Degree from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.

Helen also was a licensed teacher in NY State prior to moving to the Twin Cities in 1993.  When she first moved here, she taught continuing education classes for Eden Prairie Community Education.
